Michael helped Bel Air Pres develop a cafe vibe with a mobile espresso cart in 2003. Seeing the connecting and conversational power that coffee brought to the campus, the church contacted Third Place Consulting in order to create a permanent location in their new building phase. Located between famous Mulholland Drive and the beautiful San Fernando Valley, this cafe seats 20 inside and literally hundreds on the outside patio overlooking the San Fernando Valley.

A guest lounge and coffee bar ’space’ had been developed, but was in need of going to another level. Third Place Consulting was able to turn the ’space’ into a ‘place’ where people wanted to be. Whether considering a purchase or waiting on their cars to be serviced, guest at TWL now had a place to enjoy a true ‘Lexus-level Experience’ from the quality of coffee and pastries to the development of a common concierge turned ‘Lexus Bartender’.

Crossroads Christian Church
Corona, CA

Third Place Cafe is the original project that Michael developed by investing his own time, money, and talents. The goal was to create a place where people could slow down and connect to one another. There are countless stories of lives that are changed at Third Place Cafe due to the relaxing and safe experience that has been created.

Third Place Consulting worked in collaboration with Mel McGowan and Visioneering Studios who designed and developed the overall “Circle of Light” theme for the church campus.
